Cafe K @ The Bay
About This Spot
Stepping into Cafe K @ The Bay, you immediately sense a quiet charm that pairs perfectly with its waterside location in Kurnell. This is a place where time seems to slow down just enough to enjoy a thoughtful pause—a gentle respite from the pace of everyday life. The air carries the subtle hum of friendly chatter, blended with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and toasted halloumi.
There’s a warm, unhurried rhythm here, inviting you to linger at one of the tables scattered both indoors and under open skies. Whether you’re nestled inside among the tasteful Tassie-inspired touches or soaking up sun and sea breeze on the patio, the atmosphere encourages familiarity and a sense of community, as if you’ve just found a favorite nook among locals who know the value of good company and honest food.
On your visit, let yourself be drawn to the familiar comforts with a fresh twist—perhaps a steaming Sarah’s cappuccino or the nostalgic coolness of a traditional iced coffee. The menu offers more than just meals; it provides moments—a warm halloumi wrap to satisfy a midday craving, or a vibrant, freshly squeezed juice to brighten the morning. Portions are generous but never overwhelming, leaving you refreshed and content without rushing off.
Food here isn’t just sustenance; it’s part of the experience, made all the better by attentive staff who remember not only your order but also the little details that make a visit personal. The team’s genuine warmth and care feel tangible, reflecting a place that values kindness as much as flavor.
Overlooking the water, the cafe’s setting adds a quiet magic, where the meeting of land and sea becomes part of your meal’s backdrop. The calm view pairs naturally with the overall spirit of the place: familiar, welcoming, and thoughtfully tuned to the simple joys of friendship, fresh food, and a good cup of coffee.

Very friendly and nice cafe. Looks very new. The staff were polite and friendly with all smiles. The food and coffee was also good. Nice views from the cafe.

Located at 3/2-4 Prince Charles Parade, Kurnell, New South Wales, Australia ????????, this is a great little cafe facing the water at Kurnell to have a lovely bite to eat and a drink. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. There’s tables inside and out which is wonderful. There’s a toilet also. I would imagine it would be quite popular on the weekends so could be very crowded. It’s very tastefully decorated which makes for a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

We ordered the beef pie, and it was delicious! On top of that, the cafe had a great vibe, with a tassie-inspired decor. It’s a small cafe located along the shore, and they offer a variety of food and pastries.

I have been to Cafe K a few times now, they serve my favourite coffee which is a huge bonus :) staff is always friendly and welcoming. They are situated in a stunning location right on the beach. Their meals are massive and tasty. My favourite is the fresh sensation.

Friendly staff and good selection of menu items. The owner took the time to check the berry packet for my partner as she has allergies. They are very clean and fast at making the food. The food is fantastic and very fresh! Mobile signal is good here as well. Only downfall is that it is incredibly hot inside the cafe. They have ceiling fans but they cannot compensate for the sheer heat of summer. Strongly suggest they invest in air conditioning or at least portable units.

Quality coffee brewed quickly at a cheap price! I came here with me Dad after walking from Captain Cook’s landing place. The man at the counter who took our order (owner, I presume) was well mannered and kind. We ordered a latte and a cappuccino and they came so quickly I barely had time to take the photos. Tastes great too! My one piece of feedback for the management would be to look into those cardboard protectors for their coffee cups; they come hot (as they should) but are difficult to hold.

Had the Brekky Muffin with a hash brown and it was just what I needed along with the chocolate milkshake. So nice to sit here and look out at the water. Always nice to go where the people are friendly.
